Day 1 : Arrive Bucharest

Arrival at Bucharest International Airport. Transfer to your hotel for refreshment and accommodation.

Day 2 : Bucharest – Sibiu, 280 km aprox. 5 hrs

After a hearty breakfast and a brief tour of Bucharest including Revolution Square, the main Orthodox Church in Romania, the Romanian Athenaeum, the former Royal Palace, People’s Palace (exterior), University Square, and the Arch of Triumph, you'll proceed to the Open Air Village Museum. From there, head towards Transylvania, stopping at Oltului Valley to visit the Cozia Monastery, dating back to the XIV century. Continue your journey to Sibiu, renowned as one of Romania's most picturesque medieval towns and designated as European Capital of Culture in 2007. You'll spend the night at a hotel in Sibiu. (Breakfast included)

Day 3 : Sibiu – Sighisoara, 90 km aprox. 1h30’

Today, we'll start by exploring the city center to see the Large and Small Squares, the Clock Tower, and the Liar’s Bridge. We'll visit the Evangelical Church, an impressive Gothic monument built in 1520. After a leisurely walk through one of Romania's most beautiful cities, we'll enjoy a traditional lunch in a nearby village. In the afternoon, we'll head to Sighisoara, located in the heart of Transylvania. This medieval citadel is famous as the hometown of Vlad the Impaler and is renowned for its charm and mystery. Although still inhabited, it retains its historical allure. We'll stay overnight at a hotel in Sighisoara. (B)

Day 4 : Sighisoara – Bucovina area, 350 km, aprox. 6 hrs

"In the morning, we'll explore the stunning World Heritage site of Sighisoara Citadel in Romania. Visit the Clock Tower Museum, Medieval Weapons Museum, and Torture Room. Climb the stairs to see the Church on the Hill and wander the charming narrow streets of the city. In the afternoon, we'll head towards the Bucovina region via Borgo Pass. As we pass through the landscapes mentioned in Bram Stoker's novel, on the borders of Transylvania, Moldavia, and Bucovina, we'll stop for a coffee at Dracula’s Castle Hotel. Later in the evening, we'll arrive in Gura Humorului for our overnight stay at the hotel." This version maintains the itinerary but in a clearer and more straightforward manner.

Day 5 : Bucovina Area, 200 km, aprox. 3hrs

Explore the rich heritage of Romania today with visits to its stunning World Heritage sites – the painted monasteries. Sucevita stands out with its formidable XIV-century fortress-like walls. Voronet, often called the Sistine Chapel of the Orient, was founded in 1487 by King Stephan the Great to celebrate a historic victory over the Ottoman Empire. Moldovita, founded in 1537, captivates with its depiction of the Tree of Jesse, a significant medieval European motif tracing Christ's lineage. Pause in Marginea to admire local black ceramics workshops before retiring for the night at a hotel in Gura Humorului.

Day 6 : Bucovina Area – Brasov, 400 km, aprox. 6h30’

Today, depart for Brasov via Bicaz Gorge, passing near Red Lake. Upon arrival in Brasov, formerly known as Kronstadt, explore the medieval town. Take a leisurely walk in the Council Square and admire the impressive Black Church. Overnight at a hotel in Brasov.

Day 7 : Brasov – Bucuresti, 200 km, aprox. 3 hrs

Today's journey begins with a visit to Bran Castle, a fortress constructed in the 14th century. It is widely known worldwide as Dracula’s Castle, thanks to American movie directors. Continuing on, we will visit Peles Castle, the former summer residence of Romania's royal family. Built in the 19th century by Romania's first King, Carol I, this castle now houses an impressive collection of weapons and art objects. In the afternoon, we will arrive in Bucharest and transfer to our hotel for an overnight stay. (B)
