We'll meet at Coimbatore Railway Station and travel by train to New Jalpaiguri. From there, we'll head to Chennai Railway Station.
Today is a day for traveling.
Upon arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, our representative will greet you and escort you to your vehicle for the journey to Gangtok (altitude: 5500 feet / 1677 meters). The drive covers approximately 130 kilometers and takes about 4 to 5 hours. Once you arrive, check-in at the hotel and enjoy your overnight stay.
After breakfast, head out on a trip to Tshangu Lake, located at 12,400 feet (3,780 meters), about 43 kilometers from Gangtok. It takes about 3 hours to reach there. Foreigners can visit up to Tshangu Lake with a valid permit, but not beyond. You need to be in a group of 2 or more to visit the lake. From Tshangu Lake, continue to Baba Mandir, which is at 13,100 feet (3,994 meters), about 16 kilometers away. The drive takes about 1 hour each way. Enjoy the breathtaking beauty of Tshangu Lake's chilly waters and surrounding attractions. Return to Gangtok for an overnight stay at your hotel.
Start your morning with a half-day trip (4 hours) to visit Jhakri Water Falls and Droul Chorthen. Then, visit the Research Institute of Tibetology (closed on Sundays) and the Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom (also closed on Sundays), followed by the Flower Show. By noon, head to Darjeeling (7380 Ft / 2250 Mts), which is 115 kilometers away and takes about 5 to 6 hours to reach. Spend the night at your hotel in Darjeeling.
Start your day early by heading to Tiger Hills (8364 Ft/ 2550 Mts) around 4 AM to catch the sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak, weather permitting. On your way back, visit Batasia Loop and Ghoom Monastery. Afterward, enjoy breakfast before embarking on a half-day tour. Visit the Peace Pagoda, Japanese Temple, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, and take a ride on the Darjeeling Ropeway (ticket cost approximately INR 180.00 per person, not included). Explore Gombu Rock, Tenzing, the Tibetan Refugee Self-Assistance Center (closed on Sundays), and take in scenic views of the Tea Estates. Spend the night at your hotel.
Upon arrival in Kolkata, check into your hotel and refresh. After lunch, embark on a half-day tour of the city. Begin with a visit to the Kalighat Temple, a significant Hindu pilgrimage site. Then, cross the Ganges via the Bidyasagar Setu, also known as the 2nd Hooghly Bridge, and proceed to the Botanical Garden to see the famous 200-year-old Banyan tree. Finally, head to the riverside to enjoy scenic views of Kolkata's iconic bridges. Spend the night at your hotel.
Next to breakfast, leave for a full-day city trip covering Howrah Bridge. Go on to Belur Math (H.Q of Ramakrishna Mission), Dakshineswar Kali Temple, The House Of Rabindranath Tagor(Campus of Rabindra Bharti University). After that lunch break, visit The British Colonial Area (well-identified as Dalhousie Square where we see Raj Bhawan, Kolkata High Court, Kolkata Town Hall, General Post Office Building, Writers Building etc), then continue to Victoria Memorial (The greatest building made by the British in India, Which was inaugurated on 1921 by Prince of Wales in memories of Quinn Victoria), Indian Museum (main in Asia & Third largest in the World) originated on 1814 on the base of the gathering of the Asiatic Society.
On the last morning, after breakfast, go shopping. In the evening, head to the railway station and board the train to Chennai.
